Who we are

The BUSY Project

Working with Young People in Broxburn and Uphall

Welcome to the BUSY Project - a youth work organisation supporting young people between the ages of 10 and 18, who live in Broxburn, Uphall and the surrounding villages of West Lothian.

The BUSY Project seeks to improve life for local young people by spending time with them, listening to them and demonstrating that they are valued. It helps them to establish and develop positive relationships with each other and encourages in them resilience and self-esteem. The work is led by a youth worker and team of local volunteers.

BUSY runs a programme of regular groups and activities, some based in Broxburn Academy and some in other community venues. The programme typically includes art, craft or cookery workshops, discussion groups, outings and residential camps. A feature of the work is that young people have the opportunity to ask questions about their world, themselves and explore the relevance of a Christian faith to their lives.

Young people participate in the development and leadership of their own youth work events and activities.

All activities and events are open to everyone regardless of their background and take place in a safe and fun environment.

100% of the donations made here will go towards supporting the youth work carried out by the BUSY Project. The BASICS Trust wishes to thank you for your support.
