The Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation
Who we are
The Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation is a UK registered charity that is dedicated to the support of Vasculitis. Our charity was set up in memory of Lauren Currie who died from Wegener's Granulomatosis at the age of 15. Our key objectives is public awareness, education, research and patient support. The charity funds and supports Vasculitis awareness campaigns across UK newspapers, magazines, websites and radio campaigns that heighten the public profile of the disease throughout the United Kingdom.
The Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation is dedicated to research and currently funds Vasculitis Studies at the University of Aberdeen under the direction of Dr Neil Basu.
The Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation is also dedicated to enhancing the outcome for vasculitis patients and their overall wellbeing. The charity continues to fund a range of patient support services including helplines, support groups, wellbeing services and a respite cabin on the West Coast of Scotland where patients and their family can receive a relaxing break funded by Lauren's legacy.
