The Association For Post-Natal Illness

Who we are

APNI is a registered charity set up in 1979 to offer information, advice and support to mothers suffering from postnatal illness as well as their families.

Our aim is to offer hope to the sufferers and support them while they are ill. We also aim to increase awareness of the illness and to encourage research into its cause and nature.

The Association has volunteers who have recovered from post-natal illness.  These women support others who are currently ill on a one-to-one basis via telephone or email, offering proof to others that they can, and WILL get better.

APNI rely solely on donations and any amount we receive enables us to continue our work in supporting thousands of women who become ill in the postnatal period.
