Children with disabilities are often excluded from the sports and games which their peers take for granted. KEEN London is the only charity in the capital providing one-to-one support at free sports and activity sessions for children with disabilities. Each attending ‘athlete’ is paired with a trained and experienced ‘coach’ meaning that their parents and carers can enjoy valuable respite time knowing that their child is being cared for in a safe and supported environment. We also welcome siblings with or without additional needs.
KEEN London supports children with a wide range of disabilities including autism, cerebral palsy, downs syndrome, global developmental delay, vision and hearing impairments. We also work with children who have long term health conditions such as sickle cell anaemia and epilepsy. The siblings of all athletes are invited to attend, and become athletes in their own right – which means they are also supported on a one-to-one basis.
