Mother of Peace Community, Zimbabwe is a voluntary orphanage providing up to 60 children with a place they can call home.

It was founded in 1994 in response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Zimbabwe which left many children orphaned.

As a private voluntary organisation, Mother of Peace Community (MOPC) Zimbabwe depends on donations from well-wishers and supporters for its survival. With up to 60 resident orphans to care for and providing on-going support for children who have been re-integrated into their wider families, MOPC needs substantial support to meet the running costs. Mother of Peace Community UK is a small charity set up in 2004 to support and raise funds for MOPC Zimbabwe.

The Objectives of MOPC UK are to raise funds from donations, covenants and fundraising activities to enable us to make regular grants to MOPC and to provide practical support for the Mother of Peace Community Zimbabwe through annual visits and delivery of donated goods.

MOPC UK needs to raise at least £15,000 every year to maintain its current level of financial support for Mother of Peace Community Zimbabwe.
