We help exceptional students from lower-income households in England succeed at university, by awarding Reading List Scholarships of £250 to pay for their textbooks in the first year of study. Such students can face severe financial pressures at university, and our Scholarships help them academically, give them some much needed financial and emotional breathing space, as well as a welcome boost to their CV.

We help some exceptional students...
“Her resilience, despite regular setbacks, has been truly phenomenal and her ability to get up and go, at the worst points, has been inspirational.”
“He is an extremely hard-working young man, who, as a result, is expected to achieve top grades at A-level. He will be the first in his family to go to university.  He is also kind, courteous and good fun.”
and we make a real impact: 82% of our Scholarship winners said the award made a big difference to their first year at university.
“It has definitely made me feel more confident about myself academically, as being considered for the scholarship alone made me realise that my hard work is paying off.”
We hope you feel able to help support us.
