South Sinai Foundation
Who we are
We work with Bedouin communities in the Sinai desert, Egypt. Some South Sinai Bedouin (Bedu) are among the poorest people in the world. More than half of local people have less than $2 per person per day, while the poorest spend only $3 per person per week on food.
Since 2009 our charity has worked with communities in South Sinai to support education, healthcare, women’s rights and job creation as well as giving hardship support. Our team is entirely Bedouin, works within Bedouin cultural norms and is widely trusted by local people.
