About The Common Guild

The Common Guild is a visual arts organisation, firmly rooted in Glasgow but with a decidedly international outlook. Established in 2006, we have quickly earned a reputation for our distinctive, international programme of contemporary visual art projects, exhibitions, and events.

From exhibitions with leading artists in our current home near Kelvingrove Park, to unique, one-off projects, talks and collaborations, we are committed to presenting artists’ work in interesting and engaging ways and aim to offer access to world-class contemporary art experiences and discussions.

Support The Common Guild

The Common Guild is a charitable, not-for-profit organisation. We currently receive support from Creative Scotland and project funding from Glasgow City Council, but must fundraise to sustain the artistic programme.

Our work so far has been made possible thanks to a number of individuals, including artist Douglas Gordon and Toby Webster / The Modern Institute, whose generous support has been vital to the establishment and development of The Common Guild.

To join them, and us, you can dontate here.

Thank you!
