Mid Hants Railway Preservation Society Limited
Who we are
The aims of the MHRPS charity are to preserve, operate and exhibit for public benefit, educational and instructional purposes, all kinds of railway transportation systems, vehicles and equipment; to foster and support railway preservation.
We operate a heritage railway - the Watercress Line - along part of the former Southern Railway, a 10 miles journey between Alresford and Alton in Hampshire, using a fleet of heritage locomotives and rolling stock.
Whilst we derive income from c.125,000 visitors each year, this is typically only sufficient to cover operating costs. To sustain this heritage railway in the future, we need to raise funds - your donations will be much appreciated.
We thank you for your support and, if possible, hope to see you at the Watercress Line soon.
