Welcome to Whitley Amateur boxing club
virgin money giving page
Whitley ABC is a local Amateur boxing club in Reading. Established in 2015 by Nathan ward, an ex professional boxer from whitley .His goal was to give something back to the community by teaching kids the noble art of boxing and trying his hardest to keep young kids away from gangs/crime and keep them off the streets, by giving them a safe environment to learn the sport , as well as respect and self-discipline.
The subs taken each week sadly don’t cover the costs for taking our boxers to the shows, getting the boxers food, fuel, travel and sometimes accommodation. We are traveling up and down the country, week in week out.
As we are a “not for profit”, self-funded registered charity boxing club, run solely by volunteers. We are looking for help with the day to day running costs associated with the gym, these include boxing medicals that have to be done annually, registrations to england boxing yearly, let alone boxing kit, tracksuits etc
We are simply trying to give the youngsters of Whitley and surrounding areas a fair crack of the whip, with so many of our young boxers competing in the national championships in 2020
Any donations will be gratefully received and help with the progression of the club and the youth of Whitley.
