Make your kilometres matter!

The Lloyd.s 10km Challenge

We're inviting every single one of our employees to lace up their trainers, dust off their bike or get the goggles on this September. Looking after our physical health and mental wellbeing is more important than ever. Exercise is one of the ways we can do this, as is coming together as team to support each other achieve a common goal. Which is why we.re setting ourselves the challenge to run, walk, cycle or swim 10,000km in just seven days and raise tens of thousands of pounds to help those who need it most.

Employees choose their discipline and distance to complete over seven days, from walking, running and cycling to swimming and paddle boarding. This can be completed in one day, across the week and anything in between.

Fundraising

We are encouraging employees to set themselves a challenging goal and fundraise for a charity of their choice. As always, we will match all your fundraising (sponsorship and donations from friends and family) up to the value of 10,000 per person directly to their chosen charity. The person or team who raises the most money (for teams this will be based on an average per person) will be awarded an additional 10,000 for their chosen charity.

We know that charities are facing a dramatic reduction in income at a time when the need for their services is ever increasing as a result of COVID-19. Taking part in this challenge to raise funds for a charity that you care about will help give them the boost of funding that they need through this difficult time, as well as the physical and wellbeing benefits of exercising individually or as a team. So please set up your own fundraising page, or if you'd like to donate please have a look at the pages attached to the challenge and give what you can.

As part of the Lloyd's 10K Challenge sign-up process, our colleagues will be able to donate to our chosen charity, Habitat for Humanity (www.virginmoneygiving.com/LloydsFundraising), and we will match any funds raised. If you would like to donate to Habitat for Humanity. you can find out more on the dedicated fundraising page.
