My story

[p]If you know me, you will know that I signed up to do a stand up comedy course on a whim as part of some 'new year, same me but perhaps a bit better' giddyness in January and, as with everything I do, it has escalated quickly. [/p][p]The amazing, hilarious and passionate-about-charity comedy genius Mark Watson has agreed to put together my own personal marathon of relentless stand up comedy training including whoever he can rope in to teach me the art of the game (at least the bits that you can teach) over the course of 26.2 hours as part of his own epic comedy marathon show at The Pleasance Theatre on 27th/28th February. [/p][p]Tickets are unbelievably still available if you want the most show you can get for £26.20, including, but not limited, to how I get on doing this. Public speaking makes me literally sick, but it's something I want to tackle and I am delighted to have the chance to tackle it for such a worthy cause so if you have any money to spare then I would love your support. [/p][p]The important bit[/p][p]Dementia is the biggest health threat facing society and there are currently no effective treatments to slow, prevent or cure it. [/p][p]But a revolution is growing - on the streets and in the laboratories. Scientists are gaining on dementia, making discoveries to change lives. But they can't do it alone. We must bring dementia out of the shadows, so that people living with this devastating condition can lead more fulfilling lives. [/p][p]Alzheimer's Society and Alzheimer's Research UK are joining forces for a year-long campaign to power ground-breaking dementia research, overthrow old attitudes and lead the charge towards a cure. [/p][p]We all must make a stand; sponsor me today to support ground-breaking dementia research. [/p][p]The Dementia Revolution is here. Join us.[/p][p]Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to the Dementia Revolution charities; Alzheimer's Society and Alzheimer's Research UK. [/p][p]Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.[/p][p]I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p]
