Team story

[p]Scroll down to see updates on our progress...[/p][p]Gulp!!... Katie and Jonathan have entered the Royal Cornwall Hospital's charity dancing event - a "strictly" style dancing competition to be held in the Atlantic Ballroom In Newquay on the 5th of May. We'll be training hard for the event (mainly, in Jonathan's case, to avoid looking too clumsy) and will post updates on our progress.[/p][p]Our focus is to raise money for the Critical Care unit, and specifically to support the physical and psychological recovery of our critically ill patients. In critical care we look after the sickest patients, many on "life support" machines such as ventilators (breathing machines) and dialysis (kidney machines). For many, recovery after their illness is the hardest time, and that is when they most need specialist rehabilitation and psychological support.[/p][p]Please support us... as well as this fund-raising page, we are organising events around the Hospital. Watch out for us and thank you![/p][p][br][/p][p]A little update...(Friday the 15th of March)[/p][p]Two nights ago I (Jonathan) went to my first dance class (having missed the first the week before). I very obviously have a HUGE uphill learning curve! Katie is already gliding across the dance floor (she must have been born with dancing shoes on), so I'm counting on her skill to divert attention from me! [/p][p]A big thank you to everyone who has donated so generously. It really is appreciated and your donations will make a real difference to our patients as they embark on a slow and difficult journey to recovery.[/p]
