My story

[p]Thank you for visiting my page.[/p][p] I am running the London Marathon for the first time next month which was one of the reasons I started running about 13 years ago. The last five years I started to have a goal of running a Sub 3 hour Marathon, I have been pretty close in the last few years but have now put in more commitment and training this last few months (with the help of friend/coach Nathan Flear) so am feeling more confident. It would be a dream come true by putting both these goals of running the London marathon and running it less than 3 hours together and for a great charity like MIND, I've never needed a charity myself but with out running I feel I would of. But for others its not that simple and if we can help them that would be great.[/p][p]If you are interested in supporting my cause I would be great full If you pledged a minimal amount (£1 would be great) and then If I make my goals after the event and you can afford to possibly pledge a little more that will be great, either way we should raise a little extra for this great cause.. [/p][p]Who are Mind?[/p][p]We're Mind, the mental health charity. We believe no one should have to face a mental health problem alone. We're here for you. Today. Now. Whether you're stressed, depressed or in crisis. We'll listen, give support and advice, and fight your corner.[/p][p]We provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. We campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding. We won't give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect.[/p][p]Watch this short video to find out more?[/p][p]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPxHTZRwXX8[/p][p]I'm raising funds to support the important work Mind does and to allow them to continue to be there for everyone who needs them. Please donate if you can.[/p][p]This is what your donation could do:[/p][p]£10 could allow us to send essential information booklets about mental health to 40 people.[/p][p]£40 could pay for 28 people to campaign for change on our behalf.[/p][p]£70 could keep our online community, Elefriends, open and safe for two hours. [/p][p]£120 could offer a lifeline to eight people in desperate need of support from our Mind legal line.[/p][p]£200 could help us keep the Mind Infoline open for 1 hour, helping 35 people.[/p][p]£300 could support a young person bereaved by suicide to access 1:1 and group support. [/p][p]£550 could provide five people struggling with their mental health a place in a 10-week wellbeing group with team sports and cookery.[/p][p]Thank you for taking the time to visit my page and for donating. Your support is hugely appreciated.[/p][p]Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to Mind. [/p][p]Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.[/p]
