A total of 13 brave cyclists have successfully taken up the challenge of biking 700km in 5 days for the Hospices of Hope Moldova cause, joined by several others for the first stage until Iasi. This fourth edition will surely call for others.[/i]” – Headlines are unanimous; the [b]#HospiceBikeTour2019[/b] will once again become historical, thanks to the bravery and the generosity of around 20 amateur cyclists who have decided to tackle hills, mountains and windy roads while bringing care and comfort to those suffering from an incurable illness.[/p][p][i]*** Vedeti versiunea în Româna mai jos. ***[/i][/p][p][b][u]What is it?[/u][/b][/p][p][b]From 14th June to 18th June 2019, a team of amateur cyclists will cycle more than 700 km, cross two countries and stop in five cities, on the route Chisinau – Iasi – Gura Humorului – Bicaz – Miercurea Ciuc – Brasov, in benefit of Hospices of Hope Moldova cause.[/b][/p][p]The [b]#HospiceBikeTour[/b] is a charity Bike Tour, meaning that all participants are voluntarily willing to take up this incredible challenge, while raising funds and awareness for the people suffering from incurable diseases and cared for within the [b]Hospices of Hope Moldova National Network for Palliative Care[/b]. This crowdfunding campaign aims at raising funds [b]which will go directly supporting the provision of mobile palliative care services offered, for free, to people suffering from an incurable disease and life-limiting conditions in five districts of Moldova (Cahul, Ocnita, Orhei, Soroca, Taraclia), through the Hospices of Hope Moldova National Network for Palliative Care Services[/b].[/p][p][u]Why they accepted the challenge?[/u][/p][p][b]Our mobile multidisciplinary teams[/b] bring not only medical but also social and psycho-emotional care to people suffering from incurable illness and life-limiting conditions and their close ones. [/p][p]The [b]#HospiceBikeTour2019[/b] is one of the biggest events we organize, at Hospices of Hope Moldova, to raise awareness about this issue and funds to increase access to these services in five regions of the Republic of Moldova. Since 2017, more than 700 beneficiaries received, for free, care and comfort which they no longer expected in their hardship. We are confident that every gesture, every single donation will help us consolidate and develop the Hospices of Hope Moldova National Network for Palliative Care Services, thus enabling more and more people with serious diseases in an advanced and/or terminal stage to live, and die, with dignity and without pain.[/p][p][b][u]About us[/u][/b][/p][p]Hospices of Hope has been working for more than 25 years to ensure palliative care services in the South-East region of Europe and has contributed to the development of these services in Moldova for the last 10 years. In 2017, the Hospices of Hope Moldova National Network for Palliative Care Services was launched, supporting financially and logistically five mobile palliative care teams in the districts of Cahul, Ocnita, Orhei, Soroca and Taraclia.[/p][p]Since then, [b]more than 700 people suffering from incurable illness and life-limiting conditions[/b] have received medical, social and psycho-emotional care offered, for free, by the five mobile teams that are part of the Hospices of Hope Moldova National Network.
