My story

[p]DONE!! 56 miles, 125, 703 steps, 318 laps of the garden, 3 x 10KM runs and a bit of treadmill. Thank you everyone for your support![/p][p][br][/p][p]+++++++++[/p][p][br][/p][p]So, unfortunately, the West Highland Way part of P7 challenge has been cancelled, due to Coronavirus; however, Luke has decided to recreate the 56 mile hike at home - around our garden, on the treadmill, and during his daily permitted hour's walk outside. He will take on the challenge per the planned mileage - Friday, 8th (Day 1) 16 miles; Saturday, 9th (Day 2) 21 miles; Sunday, 10th (Day 3) 19 miles.[/p][p]If you are able to support his cause, raising funds for Future Hope, to provide opportunities to street children in Kolkata, this would certainly encourage him to keep going, on what will otherwise be not just a physically, but mentally very challenging three days...[/p][p]Thank you! [/p][p][br][/p][p]+++++++++++++++++++[/p][p]On 8 May, Luke sets off for a 3 day, 56 mile hike from Fort William, along the West Highland Way, to Inverarnan with 24 other Primary 7 classmates. The children have taken on this challenge to raise vital funds and awareness for two very worthy causes: Future Hope, which provides access to housing, schooling, sports and medical programmes for some of Kolkata's poorest street children; and Access to Excellence, which helps give access to an ESMS education to children in Edinburgh. It will no doubt be a challenge for a group of 11 & 12 year-olds, but one they are all excited to take on. If you are able to donate in any way, I'm sure it would spur them on. Thank you in advance![/p]
