My story

[p]I am holding a raffle!![/p][p]I am raffling off TWO yes TWO original poems! Two lucky winners will each get one poem each personalised just for you, to raise money for the two charities I’m an ambassador of. [/p][p]They will be written by my own fair hand and, if you like, illustrated by an artist. [/p][p]To be in with a chance of winning it’s simple! [/p][p]Donate £1 for one raffle ticket:[/p][p]£5 for 6[/p][p]£10 for 13[/p][p]£50 for 60[/p][p]£100 for 130[/p][p]and I will draw the winners from a hat on Sunday 12th April! Please make sure to leave your name so I know who you are![/p][p]Please help me, help them. Good luck to everyone!![/p][p][br][/p][p]We are living through an incredibly difficult and scary time, a time of great uncertainty of what the future holds. Charities are being hit very hard. With their annual fund raising events being cancelled this is my way of trying to help these two small amazing charities bridge that gap. I have been an ambassador for both Blue Sky Autism and The Sick Children’s Trust for many years and am greatly in awe of the work they do.[/p][p][br][/p][p]Blue Sky is an innovative and unique service providing individualised programmes of therapy to young children aged 6 months to 10 years old, experiencing developmental delays including autism. We focus on using evidence based approaches including the well researched Pivotal Response Therapy (PRT). [/p][p]Children do not need a diagnosis to access our programmes and we can provide a range of support, from parent coaching to low and high intensity home, centre and nursery/ school based therapy programmes.[/p][p]https://www.blueskyautism.com/[/p][p][br][/p][p]Sick Children’s Trust. When a child suddenly becomes ill, there’s no time to plan. The Sick Children’s Trust is the charity that gives families one less thing to worry about by giving them a place to stay, and someone to talk to, free of charge just minutes from their child’s bedside.[/p][p]Our ten ‘Homes from Home’ support around 3,500 families from around the UK each year with warm and comfortable accommodation and a friendly ear to listen.[/p][p]Our Vision[/p][p]The Sick Children’s Trust is working to a future where every family with a seriously ill child in hospital can stay together, close to their child’s bedside[/p][p]Our Mission[/p][p]Keeping families together significantly improves the recovery of seriously ill children. We provide families with a sick child with a free high-quality ‘Home from Home’ accommodation, as well as practical and emotional support so they can be there for their child.[/p][p]https://www.sickchildrenstrust.org/[/p]

This is for my daughter who was diagnosed with ASD at nearly almost 6 y.o. She was misdiagnosed early on due to the stereotype of ASD only prevalent in boys. She missed out on early intervention & is far behind still, at the age of 12 1/2y.o. Thank you!
