My story

[p]UPDATE:[/p][p]Our pupils have been in full flow with their jumping, jiving, wiggling and dancing at school this week. Thanks to your donations, we have raised 70% of our target. [/p][p][br][/p][p]Please continue to spread the word with your family and friends and let’s smash the target! [/p][p][br][/p][p]The Jump and Jive Challenge:[/p][p]The Ickle Pickles Children’s Charity and Community at Linden Lodge (C@LL) are joining forces for a fun-tastic fundraising challenge: Jump and Jive[/p][p]Lockdown has been tough for all and even more so for the pupils who have stayed indoors more than ever before.[/p][p]Our little heroes will be supporting our charities by taking part in a sponsored jump and jive - a great way to get the pupils out in the fresh air and taking part in some exercise.[/p][p]Over the summer term w/c 14th June, we are challenging the pupils of Linden Lodge School to do 25, 50, 100 or even 1,000 bounces/star jumps, dance, wiggle or wave each day for the entire week. They can use a trampoline, do it in their wheelchairs, buggies or on the spot. [/p][p]They can do this at home, in the garden, local park or at school. [/p][p]It is a great way for schools and the pupils to get involved to use the equipment and grounds. As well as for pupils who are still shielding, to do this at home or in their garden. [/p][p]What we are fundraising for: [/p][p]C@LL - for organised trips and activities that will benefit our children, their siblings, families and carers.[/p][p]The London Neonatal Transfer Service (LNTS) - an OxiVent sensor for the digital monitoring system to support babies who are ventilated and intubated during a hospital transfer. [/p][p]About C@LL:[/p][p]Pupils at Linden Lodge School have visual impairments and physical and learning disabilities, some are deaf blind and most students have complex needs. [/p][p]Community at Linden Lodge (C@LL) was set up by parents and staff hoping to reach out to mums, dads, grandparents and carers. C@LL is a parent/staff association with a difference. We support children and their families, celebrate their differences and help parents and carers feel less isolated. Our aim is to build a supportive network around the pupils, giving them the best possible chance in life. We help families feel embraced, confident and informed. [/p][p]About Ickle Pickles: Small Babies – Big Difference [/p][p]Ickle Pickles are the smallest and sickest babies who have either been born too early or have a condition that requires intensive and or surgical care. Our objective as a charity is to help vulnerable babies at a critical time in their lives. [/p][p]We work in partnership with NHS neonatal units across the country, and provide a channel to help fundraise for essential equipment when the NHS budgets are restricted. We facilitate and liaise with the neonatal units to identify the equipment required and help raise funds with the local community.[/p][p][br][/p][p]Please donate generously [/p]
