My story

[p]On my continued journey of supporting the Mental Health community through Fight Train Clothing, I will be running the official London Marathon this year only 3 weeks after the Brighton Marathon. [/p][p][br][/p][p]1 in 4 people experience mental health issues each year.[/p][p]75% of mental illness (excluding dementia) starts before age 18.[/p][p]Major depression is more common in females than in males.[/p][p]Depression is one of the leading causes of disability worldwide and a major contributor to suicide and coronary heart disease.[/p][p]Everyone has mental health, some have good and others are suffering. [/p][p][br][/p][p]Following the death of my best friend Chris Quenby to suicide, who was the founding owner of Fight Train, I have been on a mission since 2016 to champion people removing the mask around mental health stigma and 'Becoming the Best Version of Themselves. [/p][p][br][/p][p]Losing Chris saved me from my own demons of doing the same at that time, so will continue to honour his amazing inspiration and legacy through supporting others. Since 2016, I have witnessed first hand suicide and have also helped inspire numerous people to take the first steps on self awareness and recovery within my own journey too. [/p][p][br][/p][p]My challenge this year is to complete both the London and Brighton Marathons, 3 weeks apart from each other, with all money raised going to charities. Please support my mission and challenge but most importantly, the people who might be struggling to feel a purpose in this world.[/p][p][br][/p][p]This is what your donation could do:[/p][p]£10 could allow us to send essential information booklets about mental health to 40 people.[/p][p]£40 could pay for 28 people to campaign for change on our behalf.[/p][p]£70 could keep our online community, Elefriends, open and safe for two hours. [/p][p]£120 could offer a lifeline to eight people in desperate need of support from our Mind legal line.[/p][p]£200 could help us keep the Mind Infoline open for 1 hour, helping 35 people.[/p][p]£300 could support a young person bereaved by suicide to access 1:1 and group support. [/p][p]£550 could provide five people struggling with their mental health a place in a 10-week wellbeing group.[/p][p][br][/p][p]Thank you for your continued support[/p]
