My story

[p]Hello![/p][p]I made the decision a number of months ago to skydive. It's not something I had done before and I didn't have a good enough reason to do it other than "Why not?" [/p][p]I now have my reason and means to do so, in order to raise some money for this fantastic charity I now work for - Brendoncare. [/p][p]Brendoncare exists to improve the quality of life for older people, through the provision of care homes, housing with care and clubs, offering support that is built on relationships and responds to the needs, aspirations and choices of each individual.[/p][p]My wife has always been nervous of the idea since my initial thought, as have I, despite me being a bit of an adrenaline junkie. I enjoy roller-coasters and have played American Football, so the thrill of doing something even remotely risky is appealing to me.[/p][p]So why the nervousness? It's not the fear of doing something new, nor the concern of the risks involved. [/p][p]It's because I have never been on a plane. I haven't stepped foot in one, let alone flown in one but I have been determined to make my first time in a plane, one where I jump out of it.[/p][p]So help me do something ridiculous.[/p][p]I have no idea what to expect, what it's going to be like or how much I will scream on the way down. If you could put your hands in your pockets to help, even just a little, I would be eternally grateful. [/p][p]Help me cross an item off my bucket list and raise some much needed funds to help support the residents and services Brendoncare offers.[/p][p][br][/p][p]To find out more about Brendoncare, our homes and our services please visit https://www.brendoncare.org.uk/[/p]
