Champions Willberry Charity Derby

[p]Well folks thank you for visiting my page. After reading about this very poignant and moving story, I decided it was about time to get off my backside and do something to support a wonderful cause. [/p][p]This amazing charity aims to support vital research into osteosarcoma and to grant equine related wishes to seriously ill people and their families.[/p][p]The Bob Champion Cancer Trust together with Hannah's Willberry Wonder Pony Charity is holding a one-off charity flat race at Epsom Racecourse on Monday 27 August 2018. This race will run over the full length of the Derby course and will test both horse and jockey to their limits. [/p][p]Karen and Paul George – www.karengeorgeracing.com have agreed to find an appropriate ride for the task and it will now fall on me to get riding fit and in shape for this once in a lifetime opportunity. The training regime will be rigorous and will involve many hours in the gym, cycling and riding out to reach the required levels of fitness. [/p][p]The target is to raise a minimum of £100,000. A few chosen celebrities will ride with the remainder being made up from members of the public like me! [/p][p]This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to ride at Epsom, the home of the Derby.
