Gail's Head Shave and Oliver's Hair Donation

[p]My wonderful friend Emma is battling Non Hodgkin Lymphoma again after being cancer free for 7 years. With all the chemotherapy Emma's hair is falling out and so in solidarity I have decided to shave my hair off. Am hoping to do this by the Summer to raise money for The Royal Marsden who do an amazing job each day.[/p][p]Alongside this my youngest son Oliver is growing his hair to donate to the Little Princess Trust who provide real hair wigs free of charge to children and young adults up to the age of 24, who have sadly lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other illnesses. He is getting mistaken for a girl more and more now that his hair is getting so long. It needs to be between 7-12 inches long before it can be donated so I reckon we have at least another year of growing! Am so proud of him for doing this.[/p][p]This is also being done in memory of my family friend who I grew up calling Auntie Jenny, my Mum's best friend who sadly passed away on the 7th June 2018 after a short battle with cancer.[/p][p]Thank you so much for all your donations xx[/p][p]**UPDATE **[/p][p]On Tuesday 17th July at Cheam Common Junior Academy in the playground after school I will be having my hair shaved.[/p][p]Oliver's hair needs to be between 7-12 inches long before it can be cut to donate to the Little Princess Trust so I feel we have a few months to go before his is ready to be cut off but will update you all when his is ready to be cut. [/p][p]**ANOTHER UPDATE**[/p][p]17th July - My hair shave went ahead and we are so thankful for everyone who came along to the playground to support us and watch the shave and donate money. I will count up the money on Friday that was raised in the school playground to give enough time for people who said they would like to donate in the week when they see me. In the playground and donations given to me on the school run over the last few days we have raised £198.30. THANK YOU SO MUCH xx[/p][p][br][/p]
