My story

[p]Manchester to Stockholm via Tel Aviv (and a few other points in between)[/p][p]Folks: if you're reading this page, odds are you know why I'm doing this running challenge (mid-life crisis aside!) and why I'm raising money for the Breast Cancer Unit Support Trust (BUST), the Bristol-based charity “founded by patients for patients to support the work of the Bristol Breast Care Centre at Southmead Hospital”.[/p][p]Since its formation in the 1990s, BUST has raised more than £1.7 million to support innovation in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease at the Bristol Breast Care Centre. The centre saves lives on a daily basis and is one of the best adverts I can think of for a public health service that puts patients and their families first.[/p][p]To support the Breast Care Centre’s life-saving work, I’m going all Mo Farah for the foreseeable and aiming to tick off three half marathons and three marathons by the end of June 2019. (For ref, I’ve run one half marathon in the past 10 years – so definitely no walk in the park this.)[/p][p]The provisional schedule is shaping up nicely and looks as follows...[/p][p]# 27 January: Heaton Park Half Marathon (Manchester)[/p][p]# 22 February: Tel Aviv Half Marathon[/p][p]# 24 March: Wilmslow Half Marathon[/p][p]# 28 April: Stirling Scottish Marathon[/p][p]# 12 May: Geneva Marathon[/p][p]# 1 June: Stockholm Marathon[/p][p]Many thanks in advance for any support you’re able to give.[/p][p]All the best. Joe[/p][p][br][/p][p] [/p][p][br][/p]
