My story

[p][/p][p]Rara's BIG challenge....[/p][p]In 2017 - 2018 I have decided to challenge myself on behalf of a charity that is exceptionally close to my heart. I have seen first hand the challenges that are faced by people diagnosed on the Autism spectrum on a day to day basis and throughout most of my career. Autism does not disappear, it is a lifelong condition that can lead to varying and unique challenges throughout each persons journey. Every person has the right to live positively with lifestyle and work choices and opportunities. If the right levels of funding, research, support, advice and guidance are available coupled with positive public awareness and perception some of these challenges can be diminished and people can live to their strengths.[/p][p]This year my series of challenges will culminate in completing the London Marathon. I have never completed a marathon before and those who know me will know that I too have a invisible condition called Ehlers Danlos syndrome that challenges me each day in a variety of ways. [/p][p]What I will be doing ....[/p][p]June - Beacon Hill 5 Mile solstice run 5 mile[/p][p]July - Thunder Run 24hr 10k relay [/p][p]September - Robin Hood Half [/p][p]October - lakeland trails dirty double, Helvellyn 10k & Ullswater 10k[/p][p]December - The Turkey Trot [/p][p]April - The London Marathon[/p][p]Further events to be confirmed....[/p][p]Thank you for visiting my page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p]
