My story

[p]Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. [/p][p]10,000 km for children. I will walk, jog and run to reach 10,000 km.[/p][p]We are lucky to have a wonderful daughter but I can too easily imagine the pain parents feel when their children are sick. I would do anything to help my daughter - so I will do whatever I can to help others.[/p][p]I'm not setting a time limit but will try and cover a minimum of 5 km a day. I'll also be doing a number of long distance (50 km & 100 km) events listed below and will record every km covered using a mobile app - Polar Beat or Track My Run or Nike app.[/p][p]So far up to 20 August 301 km covered in training.[/p][p]You can track my daily log here: https://www.10000kmforchildren.com[/p][p]25/26 August 100 km South Coast Challenge - Eastbourne to Arundel - https://www.southcoastchallenge.com/the-challenge[/p][p]29 September 50 km Chiltern 50 km - Henley to Princes Risborough - https://www.chiltern50.com/the-challenge[/p][p]4/5 2019 May Isle of Wight 106 km full island[/p][p]25/26 May 2019 London to Brighton 100 km[/p][p]29/30 June 2019 Cotswold Way 100 km[/p][p]September 2019 Half Marathon des Sables, Fuerteventura, 120 km self sufficient in the desert[/p][p][br][/p][p]I have chosen to support Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity (GOSH). Every day brings new challenges at GOSH. Every day, 619 children and young people from across the UK arrive. Every day, doctors and nurses battle the most complex illnesses, and the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs. And every day is a chance for you to make a difference. This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support to give seriously ill children the best chance to fulfil their potential. A better future for seriously ill children starts here.[/p][p][br][/p][p]Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me, and donations will be quickly processed and passed to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.[/p][p][br][/p][p]Thank you for taking the time to read my page. Please donate to this fantastic cause! I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p]
