My story

[p]To celebrate 70 years of the Citroen 2cv and 50 years of the Citroen Mehari. The 2cv Shop are going to race a unlikely trio of vehicles… A Citroen 2cv and Citroen Mehari from our workshop in Warminster, UK to Mehari Club Cassis in the south of France, over 1000 miles.[/p][p] Just to make it a bit more interesting we will race against the most technologically advanced car produced today… The Tesla Model X.[/p][p]It sounds like a one sided race for the Tesla however the Tesla will need to stop and charge unlike the Citroen[/p][p]The Race[/p][p]The 3 teams will be leaving our workshop @ 8am on Saturday 6th October. Drive over 1000 miles to Cassis in the south of France. On the way we will be doing a number of challenges over the 3 days.[/p][p]You can follow the action live on the 2cv shop Facebook page. www.facebook.com/the2cvshop[/p][p]we will also have Glympse running in all 3 cars, So you can see how we are getting on live at any time.[/p][p] WE NEED YOUR HELP[/p][p]To make sure the Tesla team do not cheat by speeding, we need you to let us know if the Tesla goes over 70mph or 112kph in the UK and 81mph or 130kph in France.[/p][p]If you see the Tesla breaking the speed limit on Glympse then please take a screen shot and post it on our facebook page.[/p][p]The Rules[/p][p]1 All teams must stay within the speed limit[/p][p]2 There is no fixed route but must go via all of the way points.[/p][p]3 Time penalties will be given per broken egg and speeding.[/p][p]4 The winner is the one with the least amount of time on the clock + any time penalties.[/p][p]5 No car can be worked on, refuel or recharge once the clock is stopped.[/p][p]6 The clock stops when each team reaches its waypoint. To ensure fairness if either car is ahead of the other the car behind must wait for the recorded duration before setting off from each way point.[/p][p][br][/p][p][br][/p][p][br][/p][p][br][/p][p][br][/p]
