Team story

[p]Hi everyone, we are Sophie (10) and Brandon (6) from Blyth, Northumberland and we love litter picking. We started our litter picking adventure at the end of June last year and since then we have collected over 1,000 bin bags of rubbish. During our litter picking adventures we have made lots of new friends in our community (and around the world) who support and inspire us to not give up on our litter picking mission to Keep Blyth Clean and this is how we met our friend Stephen who is part of Team Emotive. [/p][p][br][/p][p]Team Emotive are the first Ocean Rowing Team from Veterans Adventure Experiences who are taking part in one of the world’s most difficult ocean rowing challenges – The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge. This inspirational team of four veterans will be rowing 3000 miles from the Canary Islands, Spain to Nelson’s Dockyard in Antigua & Barbuda across the Atlantic Ocean to raise vital funds for Veterans At Ease a local North East Military Mental Health Charity and also raising awareness about mental health. [/p][p][br][/p][p]We want to fundraise in support for our friend Stephen and the rest of Team Emotive and their Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge.[/p][p]From the 1st of May we will be starting our own TWAC inspired litter picking challenge trying to collect 3000kg of litter, 1kg for each mile Team Emotive will be rowing. Our challenge is not going to be as brutal as what Team Emotive will be doing next year but it’s going to take us a lot of litter picking to reach our goal as an average litter picking bag weighs roughly around 6kg. We will be doing our 3000kg Litter Challenge around our hometown of Blyth trying to raise £250 for Veterans At Ease but at the same time helping the environment, the wildlife and the community.[/p][p][br][/p][p]If you would like to sponsor us we would be so grateful for your help to raise funds to help support Team Emotive bid to raise £250,000 for Veterans at Ease.[/p][p][br][/p][p]Love Sophie and Brandon[/p][p][br][/p][p]Day 1: 32.5kg/3000kg 9 bags weighing 32.5kg [/p][p]Day 2: 74.65kg/3000kg 11 bags weighing 42.15kg[/p][p]Day 3: 96.15kg/3000kg 7 bags weighing 21.5kg[/p][p]Day 4: 120kg/3000kg 6 bags weighing 23.85kg[/p][p]Day 5: 142.5kg/3000kg 6 bags weighing 22.5kg[/p][p]Day 6: 147.7kg/3000kg 1 bag weighing 5.2kg[/p][p]Day 7: 154.45kg/3000kg 1 bag weighing 6.75kg[/p][p]Day 8: 163.2kg/3000kg 1 bag weighing 8.75kg[/p][p]Day 9: 194.7kg/3000kg 5 bags weighing 31.5kg [/p][p]Day 10: 201.55kg/3000kg 1 bag weighing 6.85kg[/p][p]Day 11: 211.85kg/3000kg 2 bags weighing 10.3kg[/p][p]Day 12: 229.65/3000kg 3 bags weighing 17.8kg[/p][p]Day 13: 254.85kg/3000kg 3 bags weighing 25.2kg[/p][p]Day 14: 264.65kg/3000kg 1 bag (and 1 washed in tyre rescued) weighing 9.8kg[/p][p]Day 15: 291.15kg/3000kg 5 bags weighing 26.5kg[/p][p]Day 16: 297.35kg/3000kg 1 bag weighing 6.2kg[/p][p]Day 17: 304.1kg/3000kg 1 bag weighing 6.75kg[/p][p]Day 18: 344.3kg/3000kg 7 bags (& 1 carrier bag) weighing 40.2kg[/p][p]Day 19: 363.2kg/3000kg 4 bags weighing 18.9kg[/p][p]Day 20: 368.8kg/3000kg 1 bag weighing 5.6kg[/p][p]Day 21: 381.6kg/3000kg 2 bags (& 1 carrier bag) weighing 12.8kg[/p][p]Day 22: 423.8kg/3000kg 7 bags weighing 42.2kg[/p][p]Day 23: 450kg/3000kg 6 bags weighing 26.2kg[/p][p]Day 24: 456.05kg/3000kg 1 bag weighing 6.05kg[/p][p]Day 25: 462.8kg/3000kg 1 bag weighing 6.75kg[/p][p]Day 26: 476kg/3000kg 2 bags weighing 13.2kg[/p][p]Day 27: 481.65kg/3000kg 1 bag weighing 5.65kg[/p][p]Day 28: 539.45kg/3000kg 2 bags and washed up items including drawer and rope weighing 57.8kg[/p][p]Day 29: 582.85kg/3000kg 5 bags weighing 43.4kg[/p][p]Day 30: 595.5kg/3000kg 2 bags weighing 12.65kg[/p][p]Day 31: 601kg/3000kg 1 bag weighing 5.5kg[/p][p]Day 32: 633.6kg/3000kg 6 bags weighing 32.6kg[/p][p]Day 33: 650kg/3000kg 1 bag & 1 rescued tyre weighing 16.4kg[/p][p]Day 34: 667.3kg/3000kg 1 bag & 1 rescued tyre weighing 17.3kg[/p][p]Day 35: 680.4kg/3000kg 1 bag & 1 washed in flag pole weighing 13.1kg[/p][p]Day 36: 718kg/3000kg 8 bags weighing 37.6kg[/p][p]Day 37: Litter pick 1: 759.8kg/3000kg 7 bags weighing 41.8kg Litter pick 2: 761.6kg/3000kg 1 bucket of rubbish weighing 1.8kg[/p][p]Day 38: 767.4kg/3000kg 1 bag weighing 5.8kg[/p][p]Day 39: 772.65kg/3000kg 1 bag weighing 5.25kg[/p][p]Day 40: 781.55kg/3000kg 3 bags weighing 8.9kg[/p][p]Day 41: 810.45kg/3000kg 5 bags weighing 28.9kg[/p][p]Day 42: 828.35kg/3000kg 3 bags weighing 17.9kg[/p][p]Day 43: 860.95kg/3000kg 5 bags weighing 32.6kg[/p][p]Day 44: 876.35kg/3000kg 3 bags weighing 15.4kg[/p][p]Day 45: 904.25kg/3000kg 5 bags weighing 27.9kg[/p][p]Day 46: 953.15kg/3000kg 9 bags weighing 48.9kg[/p]
