Team story

[p]In April 2016, 4 People, with a total of 6 working Legs between them, are set to attempt a world first, by becoming the first team including a paraplegic athlete to cross Vatnajökull icecap in Iceland exclusively by snowkite and the power of the wind.[/p] [p]Visit our website to find out all about the team, what happened back in 2014 (1st attempt), the challenges we face, the extraordinary glacier, and the specialist equipment we'll use. Discover the exhilarating sport of snow kiting.[/p] [p]http://4people6legs.com[/p] [p]Connect with us on Facebook or say hello on Twitter:[/p] [p]http://facebook.com/4people6legs http://twitter.com/4people6legs[/p] [p]Team member Sean Rose suffered a devastating skiing accident in 2000 which left him paralysed from the chest down. Never one to see the negatives in life Sean's drive and determination took him on to become a double winter paralympian, a winter X-Games medalist and a World Campion water skier. The 4 People 6 Legs expedition will see Sean at his best, tackling seemingly impossible odds to defy conventional ideas about disability.[/p] [p]In doing so Sean and his teammates, Kieron Jansch, Max Smith and Mike Dann aim to raise awareness and funds for Wings For Life, Spinal Cord Injury Research Foundation.[/p] [p]Wings For Life's mission is to find a cure for spinal cord injury. They fund world-class scientific research and clinical trials around the globe aimed at healing the injured spinal cord.  [/p] [p]http://www.wingsforlife.com/en/[/p][p][/p]
