Team story

[p][span=font-family: Calibri; color: black; font-size: 11pt;]This year marks the 70th anniversary of 622 Volunteer Gliding Squadron and to commemorate this, the squadron has embarked on numerous events and activities around the country. [/span][/p][p][p][span=font-family: Calibri; color: black; font-size: 11pt;]To mark the end of this special year, 622 VGS will be swapping the cockpit for the saddle and riding from our base, Upavon, to Old Sarum, our previous home and then onto Christchurch where the squadron was formed in 1944. [/span][/p][/p][p][span=font-family: Calibri; color: black; font-size: 11pt;]The journey totals 70 miles over two days and is in support of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance and the RAF Benevolent fund. We will be attempting this on the 28th and 29th of December and have the great support of Sandy Balls Holiday Parks who will be supplying a fleet of Tandem bicycles for us to ride on the days. As well as a large number of our squadron personnel riding, we will also be joined by two members of the Hampshire and IOW Air ambulance, who hopefully, will only be needed for their pedal power, rather than their paramedic skills...[/span] [/p][p][p][p][span=font-family: Calibri; color: black; font-size: 11pt;]Please like our facebook page (622 VGS) to follow our progress![/span] [/p][p][p][span=font-family: Calibri; color: black; font-size: 11pt;]If you wish to show your support for the team, please do donate on this site any amount will be of enormous help and be greatly appreciated. Finally from us at 622 and the Charities we are supporting, a huge thank you.[/span] [/p][p][p] [/p][/p][/p][/p][/p]
