Team story

[p]The Maddox Challenge[/p][p]Several members of the ABM Soft Services Team at Princesshay Shopping Centre, Exeter will be taking part in an arduous 70 mile walk which will take them from the start point at Brewery Square Shopping Centre, Dorchester where they will head to Weymouth at which point they will pick up the challenging and undulating terrain of the South West Coastal Path. [/p][p]From Weymouth they will follow the path all the way into Exmouth, Devon where they will then leave the Coastal Path and head from Exmouth to the finish at Princesshay Shopping Centre, Exeter. [/p][p]The event will be to raise awareness and funds for Princesshay Exeter’s Charity of The Year ‘Force Cancer Charity'.[/p][p]FORCE Cancer Charity believes that anyone diagnosed with cancer deserves the best possible treatment and professional, face-to-face support close to home. Since 1987 the charity has been funding local research and buying equipment to improve patient care. In 2014 FORCE opened its Cancer Support and Information Centre in the grounds of the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital. The Centre offers support to people needing physical, emotional, psychological and practical support at a difficult time in their lives. The charity offer support and information sessions once a week in Tiverton and Okehampton and all the services are free. [/p][p]The team will also be taking on this challenge in the memory of an ABM employee who very recently tragically lost his battle against cancer. Paul Maddox worked at Eden Shopping Centre, High Wycombe as Security Manager for 10 years, Paul had many great attributes, which he fortunately passed on to the team at Eden and many people that were blessed to meet him[/p][p]Paul had a very positive outlook on life and that remained to his unfortunate passing.[/p][p]All donations are so gratefully appreciated and will be split between Force Cancer Charity and the hospice where Paul was so wonderfully cared for in his last few days before he passed away.[/p][p]Please help us reach our target by donating whatever you can![/p][p][br][/p]
