My story

[p]Hi, thanks for visiting my page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities.[/p][p]I'm running the Virgin Money London Marathon in 2019 for The Dementia Revolution. I work at the UK Dementia Research Institute looking for and measuring biomarkers of dementia, the work done at the DRI funded by the Goverment and the two charities I am running for, Alzheimer's Research UK and The Alzheimer's Societywill mean the best dementia researchers in the world can come together and work together for a cure. Dementia is not a natural part of aging, it is a disease, and with your help we can beat it![/p][p]UPDATE:- In 4 weeks I will be running the Dublin Marathon as a warm up, 19 miles run yesterday, getting there!!![/p][p]UPDATE 2:- A week after I posted this my knee swelled up and basically stopped working :-/ So whilst I should have been sitting having a beer now clebrating my achievement I am at home doing rehab exercises and incidentally streaming with cold. Ah well, things don't always go to plan I have been running long enough to know that. Time to recover and get strong again :-) Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p]
