Team story

[span=font-size: small;]Dear Friends, family and all those who have wanderered onto this page [/span] [p] [/p][p][span=font-size: small;]On 23rd August (just over a month now) I will be taking to the mean streets of London, Kent and eventually Paris on a road bike, with the hope of cycling 250 miles. The aim is to start at Marble Arch and finish 3 and a half days later (and a couple of pounds lighter due to excessive sweat and tears) at the Arc de Triomphe. [/span][/p][p][/p][p][span=font-size: small;]It all started in July last year, after my father's heart procedure. For several years he has suffered from SVT (Superventricular tachycardia), which meant many trips to A&E, even more paramedics and a lot of angst and worry for everyone concerned. In July 2013 he had a minor heart operation to correct this, and thankfully that is the last we have seen of SVT. I am told it was a very unwelcome visitor and the treatment to correct it was like having an elephant balancing one-footed on his chest. [/span][/p][p][/p][p][span=font-size: small;]As a means of getting fit and giving something back to support the help for others who suffer from SVT and other heart conditions that are not as easy to fix and cause far greater problems, he decided to take up cycling. Somehow, he convinced myself and my eldest brother (Sam) to take part too! Which, of course, we are now very excited and perhaps a little nervous about.  [/span][/p][p][/p][p][span=font-size: small;]So please, take the British Heart Foundation and Arrhythmia Alliance into consideration when you are next thinking of giving to charity. AND if that time is now, I would really appreciate the click of a mouse on the donate now button below and a small donation to these invaluable causes. [/span][/p][p] [span=font-size: small;]Thank you for you support in taking the time to read this very extensive piece of text and for anything that you have kindly donated. [/span][/p][p][lt]br /[gt][span=font-size: small;]Many Thanks[/span][/p][p][span=font-size: small;]Beth[lt]br /[gt][/span][/p]
