My story

[lt]p style="text-align: left;"[gt]UPDATE:[/p][lt]p style="text-align: left;"[gt]I finished the marathon in 4:28:03 which I was pretty happy with. Room for improvement but a brilliant experience all round. Thanks for all your help and donations. Plenty more time to donate yet![/p][lt]p style="text-align: left;"[gt]-------------------------------------------------------------------------[/p][lt]p style="text-align: left;"[gt]Hi, thanks for visiting my page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p] [lt]p style="text-align: left;"[gt]I'm delighted to be running the marathon for Mind and am really grateful for any donation, large or small (preferably large though) for this great cause. Please keep coming back to this page too, Please take a look at my blog below, which I'll be updating each week with training and fundraising news. Feel free to add any hints, tips or abuse there!  And do forward the link to everyone possible, even if it doesn't lead to donations it increases awareness for Mind.[/p] [lt]p style="text-align: left;"[gt]Each week in the UK 108 people will take their own lives and by 2020 depression will be the second leading cause of disability worldwide. Your donations can help make all the difference.  For more information on Mind's work, please visit their website at www.mind.org.uk. This section in particular has a wealth of information on a wide variety of mental health problems.[/p] [lt]p style="text-align: left;"[gt]All too often mental health difficulties are treated as taboo and simply not discussed, or in some cases dismissed.  As well as your donations, raising awareness of these issues and boosting publicity for Mind will be a great help.  'Time to Change' have a great website led by Mind with the purpose of fighting discrimination in mental health.  It has some excellent information, a campaign well worth signing up to and forums for discussing any mental health problems. Please do take a few minutes to have a look.  [/p] [lt]p style="text-align: left;"[gt]Below is a video of the excellent Time to Change advert on TV at the moment, this is the extended edition. [/p] [p] [lt]object width="425" height="350" data="http://www.youtube.com/v/3dTgAGeNRpw" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"[gt][lt]param name="data" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/3dTgAGeNRpw" /[gt][lt]param name="quality" value="high" /[gt][lt]param name="wmode" value="transparent" /[gt][lt]param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/3dTgAGeNRpw" /[gt][lt]/object[gt] [/p]
