My story

[p]Welcome to my shiny new fundraising page.  After several years of raising money for Mind I've switched this year to a smaller charity, Tourettes Action.  With fewer people fundraising and running the marathon for them, they need your money more than most, so any contributions would be really appreciated.  Then there's the fact that this cause is more closely linked to my own experiences than anything else.  [/p][p]Further information can be found in my blog here, and a new regular blog specifically on this condition and its impact on various aspects of life, including running, will be coming soon.  [/p][p]Tourette's Action recently published this blog on my experiences of Tourette's and running, and I'll also be appearing regularly in Men's Running magazine in the coming months for their #BigMarathonChallenge.  They've provided some great training and free kit already, more info here![/p][p]This will be an attempt to increase understanding of what Tourettes can be like, at least for me, while being hilariously entertaining, obviously.  Increased understanding in far better than sympathy, especially with such a badly misrepresented illness.  You only have to type Tourettes into Twitter to see that.  In fact, anyone making a bad Tourettes joke should really donate twice.  Anyone coming up with an accurate and funny Tourettes joke, well that would be even better than a donation.[/p][p]Also, due to the fact I've already run/crawled/twitched my way round a few marathons, I will stupidly be attempting to run both the Brighton Marathon and London Marathon in the same week.  Any tips on how the hell anyone does that would be very welcome.[/p][p]Thanks![/p]
