Adopt-A-Spot is an enjoyable and fun way of helping AfriCat help Namibia’s spotted cats. It’s an easy and affordable opportunity to contribute to the conservation of large carnivores in Namibia.[/p][p]The Adopt-A-Spot for ‘Giving Tuesday’ allows a donor to receive a photo of their special spot being painted soon after they send their donation. The new Carnivore Care and Information Centre at AfriCat HQ have 2 huge cats painted on our wall. One is a CHEETAH and the other a LEOPARD. Their spots and rosettes are not coloured in yet – but as soon as you ADOPT-A-SPOT, the cheetah and leopard will slowly get their spots back![/p][p]You can Adopt-a-Spot for one two or three years at £16, £32 or £40 respectively – the amount you donate will inform the team of length of time you wish to adopt. You can 'adopt a spot' as Christmas present or on behalf of an organization, school etc. Your name and where you are from will be added to each spot. You will be sent by email a photo of your spot!  [/p][p]Hints and Tips for completing the boxes when you donate! enter the amount in the 'other' box when you get to the donation page. Add your name or the name of the person/orgnization - if a present - in the 'message' section and whether you want to 'adopt' a leopard or cheetah spot. To get the photo you need to say 'yes' to sharing your email address. We suggest you sponsor the team when given that option! [/p][p]More options for other forms of sponsorship can be found at www.africat.org[/p][p]By ADOPTING-A-SPOT you are helping the cheetah and leopard during a challenging time in their existence such as when they are being released into the wild, recovering from injury or being ambassador cats to those visiting the Care Centre. The funding goes towards the AfriCat Foundation’s general running costs, veterinary expenses, computers, vehicles, cameras, collars, telemetry, research and fuel.[/p][p]For those of you preferring Lions you can make a donation to support Africat’s work with lions for Giving Tuesday by visiting http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/africatlions  [/p][p]Tusk Trust is a long term supporter of the AfriCat Foundation and they are kindly helping us with the Adopt-a-Spot programme. The funds raised through this page will go directly from Tusk to AfriCat in Namibia.
