My story

[p]Many of you won't realise the horrendous start to 2017 Rob and I had....[/p][p]Rob fell apart in January; the strains of running his own business and all that that encompasses became too much. He felt an overwhelming level of stress, worry, lack of confidence and lost all sense of direction. [/p][p]To me it all happened suddenly overnight but he had been battling within himself for weeks and weeks afraid to admit his so-called failings. My care free, chirpy, laid back, happy husband had gone.[/p][p]Instead we had a daily battle with the most simple, routine tasks. Every day exhausting and upsetting for us and those we confided in. As time went on and our excuses for hiding this battle ran out we started telling you all and we were overwhelmed by your support and understanding.[/p][p]So, I am running the London marathon to raise funds for The Mental Health Foundation - their work is vital to help people like us, the every day Dad you see on the school run, the quiet lady in the office, and even the party animal who looks like she is living life to the full. The more we talk about mental health, the more we can do to support illnesses that aren't visible![/p][p]Please, please sponsor me, join me on training runs and offer me massages between now and April 2019.I really appreciate all your support emotionally and physically, and thank you all for any donations to help this great charity carry out the work they do.[/p][p]Aimee x[/p][p]UPDATE: Rob and I have worked so hard together to work through his stresses and concerns so he's doing really well, that said he does have his down moments and this time of the year is particularly hard with the memories of winter![/p][p]UPDATE: I am running next April after having to defer my place due to illness this year. After hurting my foot this summer Iโ€™ve got one hell of a task ahead so please, please every penny helps my fab charity but will also boost me further and further along my journey. [/p]
