My story

[p] On Sunday 28 April 2019 I'm running the London Marathon for “Walking With The Wounded” (WWTW).[/p][p] After serving 23 years within the Royal Corps of Signals serving on several overseas Operations I was very fortunate to have had a good military career and transitioned smoothly into civilian life. However, many veterans have not been so fortunate and face struggles from their service and I would now like to help those people who struggle to make their way back into civilian life to develop new careers and life outside of the services.[/p][p] As a charity, WWTW do an amazing job in helping vulnerable veterans who have been physically, mentally or socially disadvantaged during their service by assisting them in sustaining their independence through new sustainable careers outside the military. This includes support to homeless veterans and veterans in the criminal justice system, areas that are too often ignored.[/p][p] No longer having the body of a 21 year old this event will be both physically & mentally challenging however worth every mile both training and on the day as I commit to completing the London Marathon to raise funds for this outstanding charity.[/p][p] Please give as generously as you can to not only assist me in reaching my target but most importantly assist the fantastic work of WWTW to benefit ex service personnel.[/p][p] For further information visit: https://walkingwiththewounded.org.uk/[/p][p] [/p]
