My story

[p][span=color: #339966;]Hi, thanks for visiting my page.[/span][/p] [p][span=color: #339966;]I am running the[b] [lt]span style="color: #00ccff;"[gt]Virgin London Marathon 2012![/span][/b] My main reason for running is because recently a [b][span=color: #00ccff;]family friend[/span][/b] got diagnosed with cancer. She is currently going through treatment and is a lovely lady! Many of [span=color: #00ccff;][b]my friends[/b][/span] have know people who have been [span=color: #00ccff;][b]directly affected by cancer[/b][/span]. I am running for all these people too! [lt]/span[gt][/p] [p][span=color: #339966;]I am also recovering from a [b][lt]span style="color: #00ccff;"[gt]s[/span][span=color: #00ccff;][lt]span style="color: #00ccff;"[gt]e[/span]rious assault[lt]/span[gt][/b] that happened to me whilst at High School, which resulted in my femur (thigh bone) being broken. This was devastating to me because of the nature of the incident and its physical consequences. I was an active cricketer and goalkeeper for my local clubs. I was not able to play sport (or indeed walk) for a considerable time! I have recovered from multiple operations but the legacy of the attack will affect me for the rest of my life. Running the Marathon is a massive personal challenge!![lt]/span[gt][/p] [p][span=color: #339966;]A bit about me? I am an undergraduate studying [lt]span style="color: #33cccc;"[gt]Drama[/span] at the University of [span=color: #33cccc;]Exeter[/span], originally from [span=color: #00ccff;]Lancashire[/span] - living in [span=color: #33cccc;]Yorkshire[/span]! (Yeah I know!) Keen sportsman, minimalist, free-thinker and hopeless romantic! [lt]/span[gt][/p] [p][span=color: #339966;]Through [b][lt]span style="color: #00ccff;"[gt]Virgin Money Giving[/span][/b], you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. [b][span=color: #00ccff;]Virgin Money Giving[/span][/b] is a non-profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[lt]/span[gt][/p] [p][span=color: #339966;]I am running as part of[/span] [b][span=text-decoration: underline;][lt]span style="color: #00ccff;"[gt]T[/span][span=color: #ff00ff;]e[/span][span=color: #00ccff;]a[/span][span=color: #ff00ff;]m[/span] [span=color: #00ccff;]P[/span][span=color: #ff00ff;]B[/span][lt]/span[gt][/b] [span=color: #339966;]- This is a great organisation working on behalf of two major charities fighting two of the most common cancers in the world. (Prostate and Breast Cancer)[/span][/p] [p][span=color: #339966;]This might be a cliché but...[b][lt]span style="text-decoration: underline;"[gt][lt]span style="color: #00ccff;"[gt]NO DONATION IS TOO SMALL! [/span][lt]/span[gt][/b][lt]/span[gt][/p] [p][span=color: #339966;]Give [b][lt]span style="color: #00ccff;"[gt]£10[/span][/b] and miss out on that takeaway this week...[lt]br /[gt]Give [b][span=color: #00ccff;]£5[/span][/b] and maybe put off buying that dress till next week... [lt]br /[gt]Give [b][span=color: #00ccff;]£1[/span][/b] and buy that chocolate another time![lt]/span[gt][/p] [p][span=color: #339966;]Even [lt]span style="color: #00ccff;"[gt][b]50p[/b][/span] is amazing and will make me so so happy! (or if anyone is willing to sponsor the full [b][span=color: #00ccff;]£2012[/span][/b] this would also be greatly received!)[lt]/span[gt][/p] [p][span=color: #339966;]I cannot say '[b][lt]span style="color: #ff9900;"[gt]T[/span][span=color: #800080;]H[/span][span=color: #99ccff;]A[/span][span=color: #3366ff;]N[/span][span=color: #cc99ff;]K[/span] [span=color: #ff00ff;]Y[/span][span=color: #ff0000;]O[/span][span=color: #ff9900;]U[/span][/b]' enough to those who have/ are to going to donate, this really means a lot to me...so much so I am running [span=color: #00ccff;][b][lt]span style="text-decoration: underline;"[gt]26.2 miles[/span][/b][lt]/span[gt] for it! (Not to mention the [span=text-decoration: underline;][b][lt]span style="color: #00ccff;"[gt]3[/span][span=color: #00ccff;]55 miles[/span][/b][lt]/span[gt] training!) [lt]/span[gt][/p] [p][span=color: #339966;]You can keep up with my progress and training by following me on [lt]span style="color: #ff0000;"[gt][url=https://twitter.com/#!/AlexanderPalmer][lt]span style="color: #3366ff;"[gt][b]twitter[/b]@alexanderpalmer [/span][/url][lt]/span[gt][lt]/span[gt][/p] [p][span=color: #339966;]It means more than you know to me...thank you all![/span][/p]
