[p]On 13th June 2018 our world crumbled. I was 21weeks and 2days pregnant and went into premature labour. 8 long hours later our daughter defied the odds and was born alive. Tilly lived for 10 minutes in her daddy's strong arms. It is also where she took her last breath knowing nothing but love.[/p][p]We are on the toughest journey of our lives. One that is teaching us to really appreciate every single little thing. We never knew how much 10minutes could change our lives.[/p][p]To create something positive from this I'm going to be running 10 races; one for every minute that Tilly gave us. The first being the Richmond 10k on Sept 15th and ending with Brighton marathon 2019. [/p][p]The 10 races are:[/p][p]Richmond 10k 15th Sept 2018[/p][p]Richmond half 16th Sept 2018[/p][p]Grest South Run 21st Oct 2018[/p][p]Chessington 10k 3rd Nov 2018[/p][p]Victoria park 10k 8th Dec 2018[/p][p]Olympic park 10k 5th Jan 2019[/p][p]Hampton court half 17th Feb 2019[/p][p]Vitality Big half 10th Mar 2019[/p][p]LLHM 24th Mar 2019[/p][p]Brighton Marathon 14th Apr 2019[/p][p]I know this is going to be a journey full of emotions, but I also know this is something I need to do. Not only for myself but my partner, my son and to show Tilly that she had a huge impact on the world in the short time she was here. Through this journey we want to raise awareness of still births, miscarriages and premature births and the work carried out by Tommy’s. We want to let people know that it is ok to talk about their losses and they are not alone on their own journeys of loss and grief. I know the challenge ahead is going to be so hard. But if Tilly can fight and defy the odds then I can too. For her.[/p][p][br][/p][p]Tilly Ava Mathura-Berman [/p][p]Wednesday 13th June 2018[/p][p] 380g [/p][p][br][/p][p]#tenfortilly #appreciateeveryminute #teamtommys[/p][p][br][/p][p]https://www.tommys.org/our-organisation/help-and-support/tommys-pregnancy-stories/alexis-reason-running[/p]
