My story

[p]A year ago I was coming to the end of chemotherapy for breast cancer, having been diagnosed in January 2017. Throughout my treatment, I kept cycling as much as I could, it helped me so much (and the helmet covered my bald patches). But I lost a lot of fitness. So it seemed like a good idea to sign up to Ride 100 this year to give me a goal to aim for. May have been a bit ambitious to be honest! I'm nowhere near as fit as I was in previous years, but I'm confident I'll cycle the 100 miles, albeit it at a slow, steady pace. [/p][p]There are so many worthy charities I want to raise funds for - charities helped me get through my year of treatment. I picked Breast Cancer Now because their ambition is that by 2050, everyone diagnosed with breast cancer will survive the disease. Amazing. 1 in 8 women get breast cancer - it's scandalous, and we must continue this valuable research to improve the odds for all diagnosed. [/p][p]Thank you so much for donating, your money will make a real difference x [/p]
