My story

[p]On Saturday 14th November I will be attempting to run a fundraising Marathon in memory of my wonderful brother Clive who died on the 12th November 2019. He received the best care possible in the Bristol Heart ICU. I would like to show my thanks and appreciation for the fantastic team there and hopefully raise an amount which can be helpful. Every little counts! I will be running on the morning of the 14th, on a lane right next to my house, and in respect of the Covid confinement rules applicable to me in our area of France. I have never run further than half of this distance, and to be honest, I haven't prepared fully, but I do have a race strategy!...start slow, stay slow and finish very slow. I have also had invaluable technical advice from my brother Keith and sister in law Fiona, who successfully completed together a Marathon in North Wales last month (also in aid of Above and Beyond) : Jellybabies...when the going gets tough, a handful of Jellybabies! I hope to do the 42.2 kms in less than 6 hours. I do realise that these are difficult times for many people, so any amount that you would be willing to donate would be so very much appreciated! Thanks in advance. Take care. Much love. Alison[/p]
