My story
[p]Hello world :)[/p][p]Sometimes I find walking upright a bit of a challenge and I am quite possibly the clumsiest person on the planet, so who better to take up the challenge of a dancing contest![/p][p]On 8th November 2018 I will be taking part in Partner Strictly Dancing with a bunch other of dancing novices for the Salesforce ecosystem. I will be easily spotted on the night, and not just because of my randomly coloured hair, but also I will be the one bopping to her own beat when I forget all of the dance moves, and it's all good because it's all in aid of charity.[/p][p]The challenge involves 6 weeks of dance training lead by an actual dancer, and ends in us swooshing around the Troxy in fancy dresses and suits in front of 1500 people and some scary cameras. I shall be moving around to the show dance and a Tango, where I believe my main challenge will be holding a serious face and not hitting people in the face (two lessons in and I have done it 3 times already!)[/p][p]My Charities[/p][p]I'm raising money for Sports Traider, who are giving us access to the amazing dancer teachers and studios. They aim is to ensure all children are able to take part and gain the benefits of participating in sport, so they can build confidence, make awesome friends and be healthy. [/p][p]The next charity is Fibromyalgia Action UK. I have Fibromyalgia and ME and some days chronic pain and chronic fatigue can be unbearable. But I'm lucky because I have the best friends and an awesome place to work, where everyone understands and helps me battle against my immune system that constantly seems to go away on extended holidays. Not everyone is able to keep going and everyone needs advice from time to time and Fibromyalgia Action UK does some incredible work.[/p][p]The British Thyroid Foundation is my other charity. One of the most amazing people I have ever met on this planet has battled with Graves disease for many years and yet, she still always looks after me without a second thought even if she is feeling pants herself. She is brave and strong and I admire her more than she knows. I have seen first hand the impact the disease can have on people, and I would like to raise money for this charity as well in the hope that more people battle their way through confidently.
