My story

[p]Liberty Grace Schurer gained her angel wings on 11th October 2017, just two weeks after her 14th birthday. Liberty had been battling with Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer, since being diagnosed on her 13th birthday. The protocol with which Liberty was treated was not only designed for adults rather than a thirteen year old child, but was also decades old. Survival rates for Ewing's have not improved in over 30 years, and the lack of research and funding was a huge frustration to Liberty and to her family. Liberty's attitude towards everything she fought through during these 13 months was absolutely inspiring.[/p][p]Liberty always put others before herself and it was therefore her wish to raise funds in her name for research into Ewing's, so that one day children and their families wouldn't have to suffer the same way hers did. [/p][p]The fundraising that has taken place so far is incredible and I've loved being involved in various events. In May, I'll be taking part in quite a challenge, running the Vitality London 10k for Liberty's Legacy. I will be running alongside Liberty's older sister, and my close friend, Liv, as well as many others. Any donation will be hugely appreciated for such an amazing cause. [/p]
