My story

[p]NEW CHALLENGE! [/p][p]I wouldn’t say I’m a natural runner, but I have been trotting around Fleet for a while now and after training for the Fleet 10k in October last year, I definitely got the bug. So why not see if I can push myself further and embark on training for the Fleet Half Marathon!!![/p][p]To help motivate me and keep training on track during the dark and dreary Winter evenings, I thought I’d take the opportunity to raise some money for two causes close to my heart. [/p][p]Firstly, All Saints – A Place for Everyone. [/p][p]As a NHS Community Therapist, I work with some of the most vulnerable people in our community and have seen (and experienced for myself) first hand the benefit to a person’s well being in having a friendly, kind and supportive community environment to turn to. From coffee mornings and lunches, volunteer run baby and toddler groups, to the more traditional spiritual enrichment and pastoral care, church facilities offer a friendly, kind and supportive community space for EVERYONE. Old, young and everything in between, regardless of faith or background. Never underestimate the benefits of a coffee and a chat! [/p][p]Following the fire in 2015 the creation of an additional annexe as part of the restoration and rebuild of All Saints Church, Fleet, will provide a flexible, purpose built home for all these community activities and more.[/p][p]The second charity I am raising funds for is Phyllis Tuckwell. Having provided hospice care in this area for a very long time, I’m sure you all know how important and wonderful they are, not just for those at the end of their life, but also for people living with chronic life limiting conditions.[/p][p][br][/p][p]So please, please, please dig deep if you can!!! Thank you in advance x[/p]
