My story

[p]I have been lucky (or unlucky - I am not sure yet) to gain a place with Meningitis Now to run the London Marathon on the 29nd April 2019 (yes I have gone slightly mad!). Although slightly scared but excited I plan to complete the 26.2 miles but I need your help and support to do this and keep me motivated by raising as much money as we can to make this challenge worth the blood, sweat and tears that it's going to be.[/p][p]Having survived this deadly disease I want to thank my mum, my GP, Paramedics and all the wonderful nursing staff who helped to save my life when at 18 I was struck down with this serious life threatening disease. Now having my own children to worry about, this disease is never far from my mind when either of my two beautiful children become poorly. I therefore want to help raise the profile of this disease whilst raising as much well needed money to help with supporting those people affected by this Meningitis as well as fund future research.[/p][p]Please help to support this amazing charity that is close to my heart. Thank you.[/p]
