My story

[p]Update: I am utilising my sewing skills making and selling face coverings to boost my fundraising. So far this has raised nearly £300! Thank you to everyone who has purchased one. [/p][p]Update: Thank you to everyone who sponsored me for the 2.6 challenge on Sunday 26th April! I am very close to my target now.[/p][p]Update: VLM postponed until October 4th 2020. Please keep your fingers crossed that things are safer for us all in the autumn.[/p][p][br][/p][p]I have been raising money for the Miscarriage Association since 2008.[/p][p]That year I suffered two 'missed' (silent) miscarriages. I had no idea anything was wrong until I was scanned. The losses were devastating and the aftermath is still with me now in the form of anxiety.[/p][p]As many of you know, I was helped through those difficult times by this charity. Who I'd never heard of until I was handed a leaflet in hospital. I had no idea what to expect and I needed a lot of support. Their online community was also a great help.[/p][p]That was 11 years ago now and I do believe that we are slowly becoming more open about discussing this painful subject. I like to think that I have contributed to raising awareness with my support for the Miscarriage Association. And with your help, we have raised a lot of money for their all important resources and research.[/p][p]But we can't stop there unfortunately. As I type this, a family somewhere will be given the same devastating news that we received. One in four pregnancies ends in miscarriage and it is incredibly isolating and confusing.[/p][p]I will run the 2020 London Marathon once more with the aim of raising as much money and awareness as I can. It is always a privilege to be part of such a wonderful team at such a prestigious event.[/p][p]If you can help me in any way, any donation is appreciated however small, then I can assure you that it will be gratefully received and spent well.[/p][p]Thank you so much for your support.[/p][p][br][/p][p]Andie [/p]
