My story

[p]Hi, thanks for visiting my page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p][p][span=color: #0000ff;]Hi All, I am doing two big events in memory of my Mum and Dad. My Dad passed away some years ago of heart desease at the early age of 51. My mother would then always donate to the British Heart Foundation (BHF). Mum has passed away this year and i feel very strongly that i should do something in their honour for everything they did for me through their lives.[/span][/p][p][span=color: #0000ff;]My challenge will be 4 full marathons. This challenge is in two parts that will take the best part of ten months with the training involved. [/span][/p][p][span=color: #0000ff;]Part 1 is 3 marathons and will be done in 3 consecutive days along the freezing cold coastal path of Pembrokshire during November 2011. The event is the Pembrokeshire Coastal Challenge organised by VOTwo. It is very hilly, windy, muddy and 78.6 miles. i have completed this part in 17hrs 36 mins (5:15,5:45 & 6:15 the times for each one)[/span][/p][p][span=color: #0000ff;]Part 2 will be the 4th marathon and will be an attempt to beat my personal best of 3hrs 27 mins at the Virgin London marathon next April. This means there is no time to rest from Pembrokeshire, as the challenges are completely different, one total endurance and the other is for speed. So training will start again at Christmas during the dark cold winter nights.[/span][/p][p][span=color: #0000ff;]I will be 53 years old during the Pembrokeshire challenge so this type of training does not get any easier, part of this includes 32 miles from Weymouth to Swanage taking part in the Dorset Doddle during August,  this was anything but a doddle,(7hrs 18 mins) but the motivation is there and with your support i will achieve my aims. The most important being raising funds for the BHF. [/span][/p][p][span=color: #0000ff;]Please help me reach my target, no matter how small as i well know that times are tough for everyone these days, every penny helps. All training, entry and accommodation costs are being paid by myself, every penny donated will go to the BHF.[/span][/p][p][span=color: #0000ff;]Thank you so much for being kind enough to read this page and listening to my dribble, a bigger thank you for your donation.[/span][/p][p][span=color: #0000ff;]Andy[/span][/p]
