My story

[p]Nobody deserves to experience the devastating impacts of cancer, but especially not children.[/p][p]Thankfully I've never had to experience the effects of child cancer but there are many who are not so lucky...[/p][p]Every day 12 families in the UK receive the devastating news that their child has cancer.[/p][p]Through funding vital specialist research, Children with Cancer UK give children the best chance to survive. They help drive up childhood cancer survival rates and find kinder, more effective treatments to reduce long-term side effects. This ground breaking research saves children's lives and would otherwise go unfunded. [/p][p]Knowing treatment can be especially challenging for family life, Children with Cancer UK also helps fund patient family accommodation near hospitals so families can stay together during their children's treatment. They also organise unforgettable days out for children and their families to create memories that will never be lost. [/p][p]Personally I have never been much of a runner - the longest I've ever done to date being 10K however I have decided to run this 20 mile, 200 obstacle course route to try and help save the lives of children with cancer and keep families together. Even if only one child benefits then it will be well and truly worth it.[/p][p]Wherever possible, please support me in this goal and help us fight for those who can't fight for themselves. Thank you. [/p]
