My story

[p]From 7-15 September I will be participating in the Deloitte Ride Across Britain event, attempting to cycle 980 miles over those 9 days.[/p][p]I am taking the opportunity to raise funds for JusB, a charity which aims to bring about a brighter future for young people in Bromley, primarily those who are hard to reach, vulnerable or who are facing problems. Whilst Bromley is often considered to be an affluent borough, it also has its more deprived areas, and many of the young people with which JusB works come from these.[/p][p]Besides helping Year 6 children make the transition from primary to secondary school, once they have moved up to that level they can receive support to stay in school and thrive through JusB’s Homework Clubs. Slightly older young people can benefit from JusB’s music project and other varied workshops, each helping to build confidence, talent and the ability to work with others. Information, Advice & Guidance sessions offer a tailored approach to a mix of complex issues, including relationships and mental health.[/p][p]With no current local government funding for this work, JusB has to cover its entire financial budget through fundraising and the support of dedicated individuals who share its vision. Please help through sponsoring me on this mammoth bike ride. All funds raised will directly help JusB as I am covering all costs personally. Thank you.[/p][p]UPDATE - Ride successfully completed! An amazing experience, passing through some beautiful countryside notwithstanding that some of it was in the wet![/p][p][br][/p]
