My story
[p]Can you help me raise funds for 2 charities that are close to my heart (literally)?[/p][p]You'll be helping to support families in the UK who are having babies during 'lockdown'.[/p][p]And you'll have a bit of a giggle at my expense along the way.[/p][p]2020 was going to be one of the most action-packed and fun-filled summer seasons in Yellow Jersey Cycling Holiday’s history. But then came Covid-19. All trips cancelled. Big cycling adventures curtailed under the rules of ‘lockdown’.[/p][p]But I couldn’t just do nothing, and I do still need to do my daily permitted exercise to stop myself from going stir-crazy. And, since my wife is a Lactation Consultant and Breastfeeding Counsellor, I've seen the impact of 'lockdown' on so many expectant and new families, and how blinking hard many people around the UK are working to support families at this challenging time.[/p][p]So I decided to put all this together, staying completely within the rules of 'lockdown'.[/p][p]Introducing: Bike and Boobs[/p][p]From 1st May 2020 I am going to raise funds for the national charity, the Association of Breastfeeding Mothers, and a local charity, South Cumbria Breastfeeding Support, by venturing out on my bike every day, rain or shine, wearing a pair of knitted rainbow boobs. Yes, you did read that right. Knitted rainbow boobs.[/p][p]Between 1st-15th May I was going to be leading a bespoke Lands End to John O’Groats trip for a group of cyclists. Instead, I’ll be seen in public, during my permitted daily exercise, cycling with knitted boobs on my chest.[/p][p]And I very much hope that you'll sponsor me to do that.[/p][p]If you’d like to donate, that would be fabulous. A donation of any size, no matter how small, will help these 2 fab charities to support families who are local to me, and across the UK. [/p][p][br][/p][p][br][/p]
